VISHNU PACKAGING, started in year 2009 with semi automatic plant for the manufacturing of corrugated boxes to cater the packaging industry. Today, we have grown substantially to the extent of having a group of three companies in two locations. Our present Installed capacity is 30 TPD at two locations. Our Success mantra behind this cherishing growth is our constant drive to improvise, integrate & innovate as per the industry demand. Production of Corrugated Boxes from Fully Automatic 5 ply Plant has made us one of the leaders in adopting new concepts and technology.
Our Establishments
Our establishments are located in a serene area near Gummidipoondi with proximity to Andhra Pradesh and in Trichy in the state of Tamilnadu. Since inception, we have prioritised focus towards continuous improvement based on specific product quality and end user requirement Our clear and consistent business strategy has enabled us to develop our business to where we are today.

The corrugated box is one of the most widely used packaging materials today, known for its strength, versatility, and sustainability. Its history dates back to the 19th century and has evolved significantly over time.
Early Developments (1850s–1870s)
1856 – Edward Charles Healey and Edward Ellis Allen, two British inventors, patented the first known corrugated material. It was a pleated paper used as a liner for tall hats but was not yet used for packaging.
1871 – American inventor Albert Jones patented the use of single-faced corrugated paper for wrapping fragile items like glass bottles and lantern chimneys.
1874 – Oliver Long improved Jones’ design by adding a second liner to create double-faced corrugated board, making it stronger and more suitable for packaging.
Rise of Corrugated Boxes (1890s–1920s)
1890 – Robert Gair, a Scottish-born printer and packaging innovator, invented the pre-cut paperboard box, which led to the idea of mass-producing foldable corrugated boxes.
1895 – The first commercial corrugated box was produced in the United States.
1903 – Corrugated boxes gained popularity as a replacement for wooden crates, being lighter, cheaper, and easier to transport.
Industrial Growth and Standardization (1920s–1950s)
During the 1920s, advancements in printing technology allowed for branding and labeling directly on the boxes.
1930s–1940s – Corrugated boxes became essential in supply chains, especially during World War II, when efficient and cost-effective packaging was needed for military supplies.
1950s – The packaging industry standardized box sizes and strengths, making corrugated packaging even more widespread.
Modern Innovations (1960s–Present)
1960s–1980s – Advances in manufacturing led to stronger, moisture-resistant, and multi-layered corrugated boards for various industries, including food, electronics, and heavy machinery.
1990s–2000s – The rise of sustainable packaging and recycling initiatives made corrugated boxes an environmentally friendly choice.
2010s–2020s – With the boom in e-commerce, demand for corrugated boxes surged. Innovations like custom-printed, die-cut, and biodegradable boxes have become more popular.
